Powerstar, a voltage optimisation system designed and manufactured by EMSc (UK) Ltd., has been successfully installed at Atlantis, The Palm Hotel & Resort in Dubai.

The five-star hotel has been actively implementing a sustainability programme as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) agenda, and the implementation of the Powerstar voltage optimisation system is part of the hotel’s strategy to reduce its electricity consumption and cut carbon emissions.

“To have a Powerstar in any building is exciting, but to have one installed in such an iconic global hotel makes everyone at Powerstar very proud,” said Dr. Alex Mardapittas, managing director, Powerstar. “We are delighted we can say Powerstar is helping Atlantis, The Palm hotel make energy savings.”

Powerstar is an electrical energy saving solution for commercial buildings that works to reduce energy consumption, lower electricity bills and reduce a company’s impact on the environment.

The system was installed at Atlantis, The Palm by engineers from Powerstar’s distributor in the UAE, MHM Green Systems, who developed a tailor-made solution for the hotel working together with Powerstar engineers in the UK.

When installing a Powerstar solution, engineers from MHM Green Systems conduct non-intrusive site-specific energy audits before each installation, to ensure the optimum engineered system is implemented for the individual site and to meet each customer’s requirements.
