Bahrain Airport to undergo modernisation

Authorities float tender to upgrade IT and electrical systems

Aviation authorities have floated a tender for the modernisation of Bahrain Internationmal airport.

The Ministry of Transportation of the Kingdom of Bahrain is planning a significant upgrade program of the Manama-based facility.

The Ministry is inviting interested companies specialised in airport information and communications technology and ultra low voltage systems integrators to submit their prequalification application for the propsed program.

Funding for the program, the Ministry said, is coming from the Abu Dhabi Development Fund.

The deadline for prequalification is 24 September 2014.
