Dubai developer Nakheel is inviting tenders for the construction of a 50-storey mixed-use hotel project on Palm Jumeirah.

The closing date for submission of bids is 2 November.

Built on an area of 95,595m², The Palm Tower will house a five star, 290-room hotel and 502 furnished services apartments, the company said in a statement.

The hotel rooms will occupy the first 18 floors of the tower, while the project’s apartments will contain a mixture of serviced, fully-furnished studios and one, two and three bedroom apartments.

Nakheel said that The Palm Tower would have panoramic views of Palm Jumeirah, the Gulf and Dubai’s skyline.

Part of the new Nakheel Mall and Hotel complex, the project is due for completion in 2016.

Nakheel added that The Palm Tower will be its flagship hotel as part of the company’s expansion into the hospitality and leisure sector.
