Nicklaus-designed golf course to be showpiece of one of five districts
A golf course designed by golf legend Jack Nicklaus's company, Nicklaus Design, will be the centrepiece of a new development at the Al Zorah project in Ajman.
Al Zorah Development Company is set to unveil a masterplan for the coastal development at Cityscape Global, which starts today. It has been created by Lebanese developer Solidere International.
The coourse will be surrounded by Golf Villas as part of a development which also contains a clubhouse with swimming pools, a pool deck, a restaurant, cafe, a multipurpose hall and a Teen Club.
The resort along Ajman's coastline will contain just 42 villas with semi-enclosed courtyards and private swimming pools. The first nine holes of the course have already completed, with the remainder of the work set to finish next year.
Imad Dana, CEO of Al Zorah Development Company, said: “We are creating a lifestyle concept that is totally new to the UAE. In addition to the soothing vistas of the rolling greens and fairways, Golf Villas residents become part of a natural setting – with several leisure pursuits in easy access."
The Al Zorah resort has fice main districts - The Gateway, Beachfront, Peninsula, Creekside and Golfcourse. The Gateway is the entrance of Al Zorah from Sheikh Mohamad Bin Zayed Road, while The Beachfront will feature a number of resorts, a beach club and boardwalk, residential and serviced apartments and villas.
Elsewhere on the site, the infrastructure for four marinas in the complex is now complete while two major beachfronts and resorts are also under way.
