Omani developer fills CFO and head of projects management positions

Omani developer The Wave, Muscat has announced the appointment of a new chief financial officer (CFO) and new head of projects management.

Nasser al Sheibani has accepted the role of CFO after working seven years with the developer, initially in the capacity of senior finance manager and then as vice president of finance since 2008.

The head of projects management role has gone to Steve Russell-Rayner, who comes to the job with 30 years of international experience in project development and management gained in various positions across the GCC, Europe, Africa and Asia.

Commenting on the new appointments, Hawazen Esber, CEO of The Wave, Muscat, said: “I am delighted to welcome Nasser and Steve to their new roles and have full confidence in their ability to continue taking The Wave, Muscat from strength to strength and provide expert guidance for future plans within the waterfront community.

"Both appointments offer us an incredible knowledge base and unique experience to draw on, that will help shape the future of The Wave, Muscat’s master plan.

“Throughout his career, Nasser has shown exceptional talent, precision and focus when managing high value projects and we look forward to his input in the next stage of development at The Wave, Muscat.

“Steve brings a wealth of global experience overseeing projects from the design stage through to delivery. He has shown great dedication to meeting objectives and offers strong directional leadership and will be an important addition to the management at The Wave, Muscat,” Esber added.
