Dewalt has launched the DC600 compact industrial screwdriver.

Suitable for driving screws and pilot drilling, the optimised working range is in lower power/speed applications where there is a priority to prevent damage to the screw head or it is critical not to overtighten fixings.

The unit has two speeds: 200 and 600rpm. Coupled with eight torque settings, this makes it controllable and accurate. It is suitable for use by electricians and plumbers, where control and accuracy are paramount.

For user comfort, the handle can be locked in three different positions: inline, pistol or intermediate, enabling the user to reach awkward areas in any working position. A soft grip adds to the comfort, along with the large, rapid actuation, paddle switch.

The screwdriver has a quick release 6.35mm magnetic hex fitting chuck that accepts most 6.35mm hex bits, ensuring rapid bit-change.

The DC600 has been designed with a 40mm metal gearcase and all-metal gears, which makes it compact and tough. For added durability the product has a xenoy tool housing.

There are two light emitting diodes at the end of the unit that illuminate the working area. This is especially useful when working inside or in areas where there is little or no light available.

An independent switch positioned to avoid accidental actuation operates the lights. Website: Tel: +971 4 702 8254
