A new regional landscaping event is due to take place this year. Organised by CMP Information (CMPi), part of United Business Media, the Gulf Landscaping show will be held November 17-18 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.

The new exhibition is positioned as a sourcing platform and networking event for landscape architects, developers, contractors and other industry professionals.

Commenting on the decision to launch the new event, Chris Fountain, group director at CMPi, said: "The recent publication of the Abu Dhabi government's Vision 2030 demonstrated its commitment to ensuring that the incredible pace of development in the Emirate is matched by a similar concentration on landscaping and outdoor design.

Quite simply, there is no dedicated landscaping event in the region that covers all aspects of the industry, from masterplanning right through to final landscaping - this is what Gulf Landscaping will address."

Exhibitors are expected to participate from a range of industries including architectural landscaping, irrigation systems, outdoor furniture, exterior lighting, hardscaping materials, swimming pools, and water features.

The event will run alongside two other exhibitions, Working Buildings Middle East, an exhibition and conference for building services and facilities management, which launched last year, and Fit Out Middle East, an inaugural exhibition for the final stages of construction.

The event follows the launch of the GLADAC landscaping event earlier this year.
