Aecom appoints new MENA industrial market head

John Stevens has transferred from firm's Asia Pacific operations

Aecom has announced the appointment of John Stevens as director, industrial market sector within its Europe, Middle East and Africa environment practice. 

Stevens has recently transferred from the engineering design firm's Asia Pacific region where, for the past four years, he has been responsible for the direction and growth of its remediation services business in Australia.

An environmental risk management and remediation specialist with over 20 years professional experience, Aecom said Stevens has served blue-chip industrial clients worldwide and has particular knowledge of the oil and gas, chemical, pharmaceutical and mining sectors.

Prior to joining Aecom he held executive leadership positions in the UK, US and Europe.

Andy Barker, managing director of Aecom's’s environment practice in the UK, said: “In his new role John will be responsible for the development and performance of our environment teams supporting clients that operate within the industrial sector across EMEA. He will lead multi-disciplinary teams in delivering world-class environment services to this growing and important market for Aecom.”
