A total of 385 ThyssenKrupp elevators, escalators, and moving walks have been installed in Hamad International Airport, in Doha.

All the ThyssenKrupp units installed in the airport complex, including elevators with high-end car finishes and freight elevators of over five tons, are controlled around the clock through a central monitoring system.

Ramón Sotomayor, CEO of ThyssenKrupp Elevator SEAME, said “With its revolutionary products and extensive global expertise, ThyssenKrupp Elevator’s presence in HIA and beyond is poised to put Qatar on the map for technologically advanced and environmentally sustainable mobility technologies."

The German company has already successfully completed several projects in Qatar, including the installation of its TWIN elevator systems in the multi-purpose Al Sultan Tower, as well as projects at Lusail Car Park and Tornado Tower.
