24 hours with: Tom Farmer
Farmer is marketing manager at Kleindienst Group
07.00: Alarm goes off. Head to the gym – 45 minutes workout helps to dust the morning cobwebs off!
07.50: Quick shower, freshen up, grab a cup of coffee and read overnight emails.
08.25: Head out the door for work – it’s only a quick taxi ride from JLT to the office in Media City, sparing the crazy Dubai drivers!
08.40: Get into the office at Arenco Tower and have another coffee to set me up for a busy morning of work. Have 10-15 minutes with the marketing team to prioritise tasks for the day and discuss any issues that need solving. I prefer an hour to try and catch up on emails before settling into any meetings.
09.00: Load up all our company websites to ensure there are no issues and everything is working as it should.
10.00 – 11:30: Head out for a meeting with our new branding agency to discuss the brief for a new brochure to promote The Heart of Europe project. Concept and story looks fantastic.
12.00: Send new monthly newsletter out to clients
12.30: A working lunch delivered in – too lazy to venture out for food today!
13.00: Finalise marketing materials for two upcoming property shows in Moscow and St Petersburg in Russia in November. We will have a stand at each show to promote The Heart of Europe project – I’m sure this will gain a fantastic response from our Russian audience.
15.00: Our CEO has a media interview with a leading German publication at our Media City headquarters. Great interview discussing the Dubai property market and economy in general and more specific questions about THOE’s construction to date and how the investment process in the development works.
16.00: Update the THOE website with the latest island construction updates – images and text. We like to keep our investors and clients up to date with all happenings out on the islands.
18.00: Final check of all company websites to ensure everything is running smoothly before leaving for the day
19.00: Head out for dinner with my fiancée although we try and cook at home when we can
22.00: Quick Skype call to family back home – I say quick but it’s usually around two hours!
23.30: Chill with some TV in bed – the VPN network service is great for catching up on UK TV!
