AE Arma Elektropanç (AE) has announced that it has won a contract to carry out MEP works at Al Maktoum Hospital Site Redevelopment Phase 2 in Naif, Dubai.

The contract was awarded by main contractor Shapoorji Pallonji Mideast and will see AE execute all mechanical, electrical, extra light voltage and plumbing works on a turnkey basis.

Commenting on the award, Burak Kizilhan, deputy general manager and board member of AE, said: “We continue to sign prestigious projects in the UAE. This outstanding project is the third we have been awarded in 2014. First we signed a contract for Abu Dhabi Marina City Development – Plot C2, followed by University of Dubai – one of the most prestigious educational projects in the emirate.

“We are also expecting to be awarded two more projects valued at approximately AED250mn [$68mn] by the end of this year. Our target for 2015 is to be awarded AED500mn [$136mn] worth of projects in the UAE and Qatar.

“AE is one of the leading MEP players in the world, having numerous projects and offices across the three continents of Europe, Asia and Africa. We became one of the leading MEP contractors in the Middle East due to our numerous and prestigious project references going back 35 years, along with our well-experienced engineers and management team.”

The project, currently under construction, has an overall built-up area of 141,674m² and consists of four main buildings.
Building A is a 13-storey residential building with 190 apartments, Building B a nine-storey residential building with 166 apartments, Building C a 14-floor four-star hotel with 196 guest rooms and 115 serviced apartments, and Building D is a five-storey office block with 53 offices and 36 retail areas.
