Lootah inspects new Dubai Municipality HQ
Project is expected to be complete in Q2 2015
Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director-General of Dubai Municipality, has visited the construction site of the new headquarters project of Dubai Municipality, which is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2015.
The visit came as part of the Director-Generals field visits to review the progress and smooth running of the ongoing projects of the civic body.
Abdullah Rafia, Assistant Director-General, Mohamed Noor Mashroom, Director-General Projects Department and other senior officials accompanied Lootah during the visit.
"The AED53mn ($14.4mn) project located in Al Garhoud, nearby many other government authorities, is aimed at meeting all requirements of an innovative office building in line with the most advanced international standards in the construction field. Green building specifications will also be applicable for the new headquarters, which is expected to be a variation of experience for employees and visitors," Mashroom said.
"The move comes as part of DM’s enthusiasm to provide the best facilities and services to its employees and public, focusing on the vision of the civic body to create an excellent city that provides the essence of success and comfort of sustainable living," he said.
The ten storey building will be completely allocated for office use, and will accommodate many organisation units with all basic facilities, including plenty of parking spaces for employees and visitors.
