Specialist engineering solutions provider CCL is exhibiting elements of its work at the Saudi Build 2014 exhibition in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this week.

CCL is showcasing post-tensioned slabs, post-tensioning in civil structures, and repair & strengthening work, as well as the hollowcore work of another CCL group company Spiroll.

The company is also promoting a new jointless flooring system, known as Surface.

Saudi Build provides contractors, real estate developers and building owners with a full range of building solutions, and is the largest business to business construction fair in the state.

Guy Tabet, CEO of CCL, said: "Saudi Build is an important event for CCL because we carry out a lot of work in the state, and it is great way of furthering the company name as well as being able to meet up with clients in an informal setting."

CCL has worked on several developments in Saudi Arabia including the MIG Tower, in Riyadh, where its post-tensioned slabs enabled open spans of up to 22m to be created, resulting in extensive, flexible column free spaces.

The MIG Tower is a commercial development in the Al Aqeeq area of Riyadh. At 122 metres in height is has a ground floor plus 19 storeys, which will contain 25,163m2 of office space and a VIP floor at roof level.

It also has two garden floors with restaurants, offices and administrative areas, in addition to three technical levels; and three basements covering an area of approximately 13,519m2, creating a multi-storey car park with space for 230 vehicles.

Spiroll, which is 50% owned by CCL, was commissioned to establish a turnkey factory for the continuous production of prestressed hollowcore slabs for the King Abdullah University of Science & Technology (KAUST) in Jeddah.
