The Big 5 Egypt tentatively slated for 2015
Organiser of The Big 5 construction shows, dmg events, has suggested that 2015 will see the launch of an Egypt iteration, as well as the previously-announced Indonesia event
dmg events has tentatively slated a 2015 launch window for The Big 5 Egypt.
Speaking at a pre-show press conference for the Dubai iteration of the show, which will take place from 17-20 November, organisers suggested that Egypt could be on the cards for 2015, in addition to the previously-announced Indonesia event.
The announcement was made amidst news that the firm’s flagship Dubai show will feature more international exhibitors than ever before.
“In recent years, we’ve taken the brand abroad; first to Saudi, and more recently, to Kuwait and India,” said Matt Denton, senior vice president for construction at dmg.
“Next year will see additions in Indonesia and, hopefully, Egypt,” he revealed.
The Big 5 2014 in Dubai will host more than 2,700 exhibitors from 60 countries, 60% to 65% of whom will hail from outside the GCC. Denton said that it is the success enjoyed by the UAE event that has facilitated spin-off shows in previously unexplored markets.
“It’s a testament to the strength and the brand values that we’ve created in Dubai,” he said.
“The international construction community trusts and respects The Big 5 brand, and follows us into exciting new territories,” Denton added.
The Big 5 2014 will run from 17-20 November 2014 at Dubai World Trade Centre, UAE. For up-to-the minute news and in-depth analysis of the event, keep it locked to ConstructionWeekOnline.com.
