Strong Russian interest in Falcon Island

Scores of potential buyers descended on Al Hamra Real Estate Development's stand at Russian International Trade Show

Al Hamra Real Estate Development has hailed its first appearance at the Russian International Trade Show a ‘resounding success’, after it received an overwhelming response from property investors in both Saint Petersburg and Moscow.

Scores of potential buyers descended on the company’s trade stands in the hope of securing one of its dream luxury properties on offer in Ras al Khaimah.

General manager Benoy Kurien, said: “As expected, the luxury brands of Falcon Island were one of the main draws among prospective buyers, as was the tranquil, low-key setting that is enjoyed by residents living in Ras al Khaimah. Our close proximity to business centres in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and connections to Dubai International Airport were also part of the appeal.”

Falcon Island is a $272mn project being constructed on a natural island in the company’s flagship development, Al Hamra Village. Work has already begun on the villas and mansions, which will have a starting price of AED5-25mn, and the private island aims to become the first Platinum LEED certified residences in the region.

The Moscow International Property Show attracted more than 7,000 visitors and 200 property developers, with Al Hamra Real Estate Development representing the UAE.

A similar number of visitors and participants attended the event in Saint Petersburg.
