Big 5: Hinkel Polybit launches waterproofing tech
Products designed to provide a high level of protection in deep structures subjected to high hydrostatic pressures
Henkel Polybit Industries is looking to wash away the competition with the new waterproofing technology it showcased at Big 5.
Since its formation in 2005 the firm has become a leading manufacturer of waterproofing products and construction chemicals.
At Big 5 it displayed inter alia its Watertite range of products, which have been designed to provide a high level of protection in deep structures subjected to high hydrostatic pressures.
“We have been participating in Big 5 all these years and we see this as a very good platform to showcase our products,” said Vishal Lotia, assistant brand manager at Henkel Polybit Industries. “This year specifically we have a few new products which we are focusing on.”
Lotia explained that one of these product lines also included Polytherm AC – a cool roof technology for energy efficient buildings.
“Polytherm AC helps create energy-saving roofs that reflect the sun’s heat and prevent it from being absorbed into the building, reducing air conditioning or cooling costs by as much as 20%,” he said. “Polytherm AC ultimately extends the lifespan of the roof due to its resistance to a wide range of temperature fluctuations.”
Lotia said that the market has been buoyant this year and that the firm was expecting extra work from Expo 2020 in Dubai and the Fifa World 2022 in Qatar.
“We are trying to have more specifications, seminars and business conferences and help us increase awareness about our company in this region with those events on the horizon,” he added.
