Computer-aided facilities management software provider, FSI (FM Solutions), has launched its operations in Oman.

The reason behind the expansion is the region's desire to explore new technologies, explained general manager, Andre Kievit.

"A number of governmental and semi-governmental organisations are in the process of investigating how new technologies could benefit their company. Topics such as workflow management, asset management, service level agreements, balanced scorecards, distributed communication and change management, are high on the agenda."

He added that the region prefers to take a holistic approach to business, giving projects the attention they need.

"The Omani people are very aware that if you don't guide the implementation of new technologies and processes, it might not work at all and the benefits will be lost," concluded Kievit.
