Bobcat introduces trio of compact excavators
US-based equipment manufacturer, Bobcat, has released three 1-2-tonne compact excavators: the E17, the E19, and the E20
Bobcat has added three models to its compact excavator line-up.
The E17, the E19, and the E20 sit in the 1-2-tonne range.
The models have been designed to offer a combination of improved productivity, operator comfort, and ease of transportability, according to Bobcat.
“Like all Bobcat compact equipment, the new excavators are built around the operator, providing optimal ergonomics for operators of all sizes,” the US-based manufacturer commented.
“The new cab design on the excavators features large windows and narrow pillars to maximise all-round visibility. As a result, the cabs on the E17 to E20 provide an uncompromised operator environment, which – together with the excellent visibility – provides the best possible operator comfort and safety,” added Bobcat.
The latest models are towable on trailers for up to 2,000kg, and transportability has been enhanced by tie-down points. Expandable undercarriages, automatic slew brakes, and advanced diagnostics and instrumentation also feature on the excavators.
In their heaviest configurations, the E17, E19, and E20 have operating weights of 1,816kg, 1,900kg, and 2,034kg, respectively. The E20 is a zero housing-swing (ZHS) model; despite featuring a full-sized cab, the excavator delivers zero tail-swing (ZTS) operation.
The machines have also been designed to facilitate maintenance procedures. Tailgates and side covers offer immediate access to components such as coolers and other service points.
“Maintenance and service work is further simplified by the diagnostics on the new excavators, including the error codes displayed on the control panel and service tool connection,” concluded Bobcat.
