Fujairah’s quarry production output volume is expected to enjoy substantial growth, rising from 100mn tonnes in 2015 to 145mn tonnes by 2019.

The AED25bn ($6.8bn)-worth of infrastructure projects in the pipeline for the Emirate will further support the growth.

The construction boom in the region has played a large part in developing Fujairah’s quarry products industry, with a pipeline of construction projects that exceeds $2.5tn.

The UAE is the world’s third largest exporter of quarry products, with Fujairah at the heart of the production.

Dubai's World Expo in 2020 and the Qatar World Cup 2022 will further support the growth in the real estate and construction sectors which will in turn boost the quarry product market, along with a number of contracts from Kuwait, one of the region’s biggest quarry product importers.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia has commitment to invest SAR8bn ($2bn) in oil and gas and retail in Fujairah.

Overall, Fujairah’s quarry production is set to rise by 8% annually for the next five years.
