Crystal Fountains to expand office in Dubai
Regional office looking to take on more than 10 extra staff in the next couple of years.
Toronto, Canada-based water feature specialist Crystal Fountains has revealed it is planning to expand its regional presence over the next two and a half years to support an increase in business.
Crystal Fountains director of overseas operations Michael Denman said that the firm intends to expand its current staff of four at its office in Dubai to between 16 and 20 and people.
Denman said the firm is also looking to make its Dubai office its centre for the Middle East and India region. "The proximity of Dubai to India opens doors for us," said Denman. "The Dubai office will not only serve the Middle East, but it will also serve a number of neighbouring countries. India shows a lot of potential."
Despite its focus on Dubai, Denman suggested that the larger market for water feature design would eventually be Abu Dhabi. "There's a huge amount of development happening in Abu Dhabi and [developers] have a real keenness to explore the artistic side of water features," he said.
In addition to Dubai, Crystal Fountains has had a base of operations in Kuwait since 2006. Projects the firm is currently working on in the region include KEO's Emerald Gateway and Foster + Partners' Central Market, both in Abu Dhabi.
