Egypt to float $20bn in project tenders in March
Country will offer 30 projects up for grabs at Egypt Economic Development Conference in Sharm El Sheikh
Egypt will issue tenders for 30 projects worth $20bn at a long-term investment summit in March.
Investment banks and consultants have studied the projects and will promote them at the three-day Egypt Economic Development Conference in Sharm El Sheikh event, Ashraf Salman, the Minister of Investments told The National.
Egypt aims to attract $8bn in foreign investment in the fiscal year ending in June.
Sultan Al Jaber, the UAE Minister of State and the chairman of the coordination office of the UAE-funded development projects in Egypt, says the summit would highlight efforts being made to boost the country's economy and attract investors from across the world. No details of the projects were announced.
