What does your role involve?
I handle a critical and high profile role, which involves making strategic decisions and day-to-day operation reducing bottlenecks in service delivery, so that our customers get the highest possible service. I work closely with respective heads of business streams to review areas to enhance our performance, conduct budget reviews, and develop policies and systems.

What do you love most about your job?
I love to see a happy customer, who is extremely satisfied with our services. As a leader, I provide the necessary leadership to achieve this. My role involves engaging with customers, managers, and staff from different nationalities. I love to interact with people and I always drive the point of “customer delight” from the top most manager to the lowest cadre in the organisation.

What is the most challenging aspect of your job?
In this highly competitive market , we need to provide the edge over competitors without compromising on quality or service delivery. However, Du Serve has been successful so far, and this challenge propels us to perform better. I allow my people to think creatively and empower them to act independently.

What has been your most memorable project and why?
Every project is a memorable one for me. However, the most recent one which comes to my mind is the sub-contracted services for Musanada – Schools package, it was our biggest project to date and it was a challenging task to bring all the team members on a single board to achieve the mobilisation of 400 plus resources in short span of time and honour the SLA’s.

Where do you see the FM industry in five years?
The trend is definitely encouraging for an integrated FM service provider like us. There is a boom in the construction sector and the industry is maturing. The customers’ knowledge on FM and industry best practices are updated and we cannot lag behind. The Expo 2020 has both directly and indirectly driven various projects, this will definitely increase the demand for high quality service, as well as cost-effective sustainable solution.

What do you like to do most in your spare time?
I love adventure sports, deep sea fishing, and staying overnight on the sea. Since, I come from an army background, I can’t afford to miss the chance to get out of the stressful city life. I regularly go for long drives and camp in the desert, to take a break.
