Mace Macro pens contract with Sharjah University
The international facilities management company will offer helpdesk services with its Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) provider fm24.
Mace Macro International Limited has announced that it has secured a FM helpdesk contract with the University of Sharjah. Macro will deliver its service through its own helpdesk and CAFM provider fm 24.
Commenting on the contract, Imran Akram, Director of fm24 for Macro said: “Winning a project for such an impressive university campus is of huge significance to fm24. We are working closely with the University of Sharjah’s Physical Plant Department to fine tune the service and are looking forward to building a long lasting relationship.”
The fm24 helpdesk will act as single point of contact for all of the campus’ building and facilities. It addition to managing communications via telephone, web-portal and e-mails, Macro will oversee request for maintenance activities through the University’s own web-based CAFM system. The University’s on-site team will then respond to tasks, updating the system once requests are completed.
Louay Almaleh, Director of the Physical Plant Department at the University of Sharjah, said: “The University of Sharjah is delighted to be working with fm24 and we regard the FM Helpdesk as a critical function for us. We have invested in a CAFM system and fm24 have been trusted to operate the reactive maintenance element along with customer service excellence.”
The University of Sharjah’s campus has a total area of 324,152m2 consisting of over 53 buildings, as well as landscaping areas and car parks.
