Formwork specialist SGB’s 63,000m2 facility at Techno Park, Jebel Ali, has been granted LEED Silver status by the US Green Building Council.

The facility, which represented an investment of over $17m, opened in the third quarter of 2013 after a 12-month build period. It serves as the regional base for SGB in the Middle East and includes warehouses, manufacturing and maintenance facilities, a storage yard and offices.

It is capable of handling in excess of 15,000 metric tons of scaffolding and formwork products per month and houses more than 2,000 staff.
