Mall of Qatar infrastructure RFP goes to Avaya
Avaya won the Mall of Qatar infrastructure RFP, in cooperation with Libatel, an Avaya Platinum partner in Qatar.This will be the first time that smart retailing services will be commercially deployed in the region, during the first phase of the project.
Avaya has been awarded the Mall of Qatar deal to build and support the mall's end-to-end technology infrastructure.
In cooperation with Libatel, an Avaya Platinum partner in Qatar, Avaya won the Mall of Qatar infrastructure RFP. The system integrators and technology providers in Qatar also have a choice to work with different vendors in order to build diversity and outcomes-based projects into their customers' environments, according to the company, The Peninsula reports.

The project is aimed at delivering the smartest and most secure retailing and shopping experience in the region and includes designing, building and supporting the mall's next generation network infrastructure, high definition wireless indoor and outdoor connectivity, as well as the mall's CCTV network.
This will be the first time that smart retailing services such as Digital Signage, and omni-channel retailing will be commercially deployed in the region, during the first phase of the project. The mall's technology infrastructure will enable it to effortlessly introduce new smart services to its tenants and visitors in the future, such as crowd management, to enhance the retailing experience while building exciting new business opportunities.
