During its participation of the MEFMA Confex, which ran from the 16 to 17 March, 2015, Imdaad emphasised the potential benefits of smart technology to the FM sector.

Under the theme ‘Smart Technology, Smart Cities, Smarter FM,’ the event focused on the development and deployment of automation and smart systems into society.

The UAE-based company’s presentation pointed to enhanced efficiency, reduce costs and operational timelines, as well as improved resource management, as potential benefits for FM. Smart technologies could also help FM providers minimise the impact of services on the environment.

Jamal Abdullah Lootah, president of MEFMA and CEO of Imdaad, said: “With the GCC states driving towards a ‘smart’ city lead by Dubai, the focus on the implementation of the cutting edge products and systems has increased considerably.”

He added: “The region’s FM sector is set to utilise innovative and groundbreaking technology to support the ‘smart’ shift. Imdaad’s participation at the MEFMA Confex highlighted the use of smart technology in the sector to drive delivery and performance in FM services.”

MEFMA Confex 2015 featured over 25 speakers and more than 18 exhibitors. The keynotes on both days were delivered by business author Fredrik Haren, and Jmail Qureshi, a world-renowned psychologist specialised in performance enhancement.
