Nakheel launches tender for Al Khail Avenue mall
Scope of works includes infrastructure services, shoring works and excavation of the site
Dubai developer Nakheel has launched a tender covering the enabling works for its new 3.6 million square foot Jumeirah Village Triangle mall project - set to open in 2018.
The tender was launched on Sunday 22 March and covers the relocation of current infrastructure services at the plot, shoring works and excavation of the site for the mall, which will be called Al Khail Avenue.
The mall itself will have 1.5 million square feet of leasable space and parking for over 4400 cars. It will host over 350 outlets, a multi-screen cinema, an anchor supermarket, two department stores and a variety of dining outlets including a food court. In January, Nakheel confirmed that high end British supermarket chain Waitrose as the first anchor tenant at Al Khail Avenue.
The plot size is around 70,942 m2, and the mall will have a built up area of 165,415 m2 for retail and 185,760 m2 for parking.
Documents for the project can be obtained from Nakheel. Fees for the project are AED10,000. Details of the project can be found by clicking here.
