Servicing the building boom

As the construction boom in the Middle East begins spreading more vigorously across the region, so too are the opportunities for MEP professionals.

As the construction boom in the Middle East begins spreading more vigorously across the region, so too are the opportunities for MEP professionals.

And as demonstrated throughout this special report, many of the sector's major firms are following these increased market needs by expanding regionally themselves, either through the opening of new offices, acquisitions or by establishing partnerships with firms located in other countries.

Dubai is no longer the sole focus of construction activity in the region, with Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia in particular undertaking massive redevelopment. And with many mega projects also underway or planned for Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, plus the other Emirates, the availability of work is likely to last for several years to come.

Throughout the following pages we highlight some of the major MEP consultants and contractors that will be involved in ensuring the success of these projects and the firms' plans for overcoming the challenges ahead. By creating top quality designs and installations for the MEP services, the efficient long-term operation of these new developments will be assured.

And with the demand for the early input of MEP professionals on projects growing with the increased emphasis on sustainability, the importance of the sector to the overall growth of the region is becoming even greater. This is surely a recipe for success for the long-term future of MEP firms overall.
