Spending on Egypt’s construction sector could easily top $7.3bn by the end of the year, according to new market analysis released by Collaboration, Management and Control solutions (CMCS).

The report states that spending on residential projects will increase to $606m based on activity on the ground at present as construction begins on new projects. That will, according to the report, help boost housing finance and increase disposable incomes in the country.

Non-residential construction projects will increase to $6.7bn – though this is expected to increase significantly following the recent economic forum in Sharm El Sheikh where a number of mega projects were announced.
