Sustainability development will be the central focus of both the 2nd World Green Economy Summit and the 17th Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition.
The theme of sustainability development will be the central focus for both the 2nd World Green Economy (WGES) and the 17th Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX 2015).
WGES 2015, which will run from the 22-23 April at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre, will host a number of programmes and discussions on green economy. This includes the topic of climate change, as well as its related laws and regulations, as well as the role of public-private partnerships in protecting global climate.
Similarly, WETEX 2015 will run in parallel from the 21-23 April 2015 at the same venue. The event will bring together decision makers from across a variety of sectors to discuss the implementation of sustainable technology and practices. This includes representatives of energy, oil and gas, water and environment sectors.
“WGES and WETEX are two of the most important events related to sustainable development. They seek to achieve the success of green economy in the UAE. Each is a global platform to showcase the latest international technologies and best practices in sustainable development and green economy,” comments HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, vice chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, managing director and CEO of DEWA, and president of WGES.
Waleed Salman, executive president of strategy and business development at DEWA, and vice president of WGES, added: “WGES will feature sessions, workshops, and seminars that provide a stimulating environment for innovation. These will be administered by a number of decision makers, CEOs, scientists, experts, researchers, and international analysts.”
