Vehicle auctioneer Copart opens office in Bahrain
Online vehicle auction house, Copart, has strengthened its presence in the Middle East with the opening of a facility in Manama, Bahrain
Online vehicle auction house, Copart, has opened a new facility in Manama, Bahrain.
The move has been made as part of the company’s strategy to strengthen its presence in the Middle East, having opened its regional headquarters in Dubai, UAE in 2012.
Copart’s Manama office will hold weekly auctions on Sundays at 17:00 AST.
“We are pleased to open this new facility in Bahrain,” said Carlos Sabugeiro, Copart’s chief executive officer for the Middle East and Africa.
“We now have a solid buyer base in the region that is familiar with Copart, and it just makes sense to expand. We believe this location will bring significant value to our customers in the Middle East and across the globe. It will also help us to reach more buyers from the Middle East,” he added.
In addition to establishing its latest facility, Copart has signed a number of agreements with motor insurers operating in Bahrain. The company stated that these measures, coupled with its patented online auction technology, will enable it to continue to attract buyers from across the GCC.
“We are excited about the growth in the Middle East and what it ultimately means for our buyers and sellers,” commented Copart’s president, Vinnie Mitz.
“We sell to buyers in over 150 countries, so as our global operations expand, so does our buyer base for our locations worldwide. Copart will continue to add value for its buyers and sellers throughout the Middle East,” he concluded.
