Versace inaugurates its first home boutique
'Atelier' gallery for the Home Collection opens its doors in Milan.
The first ever Versace Home Boutique recently opened its doors in Milan.
Designed by a group of architects from within the Versace Home division, the store occupies a space of over 500 m2, that functions as an art gallery over two levels, allowing Italian designers to exhibit their work.
As part of the interior design service, the 'Atelier' concept offers the opportunity to personalise the home with the fabrics chosen from the varied options available from the Versace Home Collection.
A contemporary style, exemplified by the choice of white and neutral shades, silks, velvets, marble, crystal, and jacquard fabrics woven by hand on the walls are interspersed with panelling in light wood.
For the fans of classic interiors the Home Boutique offers large prints reproducing shapes from the thirties, or tanned leather, hand embroidered to reinterpret the Versace logo - furniture to suite an array of tastes.
"The new Versace Home boutique is a journey through the Versace lifestyle: a world made up of luxurious and contemporary living spaces,"? said Giancarlo Di Risio, Versace CEO.
"This opening represents a natural development that has confirmed Versace a leader in this sector, with its continually growing Home division revenues, posting a 12.5% increase in 2007 verses 2006. The long term strategy will see new Versace Home boutique openings in New York, Dubai, Brussels and Paris,"? he added.
