Ferrari World to build world's steepest 'coaster
New Flying Aces ride will have a 51 degree starting incline and also have the world's tallest rollercoaster loop
Already home to the world’s fastest rollercoaster, Ferrari World has announced their plans to build the world’s steepest steel rollercoaster.
The attraction, named Flying Aces, will have a 51 degree starting incline and also the world’s tallest rollercoaster loop (52m).
The ride’s name honours World War 1 Italian fighter ace Count Francesco Baracca who famously used the Cavallino Rampante or Prancing Horse emblem in battle and which was later adopted by Enzo Ferrari as the company’s official symbol.
Jesse Vargas, General Manager of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi said: “There are very few theme parks that have undertaken such a significant expansion as Ferrari World Abu Dhabi.
Flying Aces will be another one-of-a-kind ride that you can only find at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi. Its design and storyline are deeply rooted in the rich history of Ferrari.
Located on Yas Island, Au Dhabi, UAE, the park is in its eighth year of operation. In addition to the planned rollercoaster, the Ferrari World also recently opened the Ferrari Driving Experience, which allows guests to drive a Ferrari around Yas Island.
