Rubber World Industries has won a US $325,000 (AED1.2 million) contract to supply its rubber installation products for the Motor City project.

The firm will provide the community development with its Gulf-O-Flex creation, which prevents condensation and frost formation on refrigerant lines, cold water plumbing and chilled water systems.

The non-toxic insulation is lightweight and has environmentally-friendly features as it reduces energy consumption and costs.

The company is currently investing US $8 million into expanding its production capacity to 3,600 containers a year by 2013. Abu Barker Shaikhani, managing director of Rubber World Industries said: "As more developers gain awareness of environmental safety protocols, we expect the demand for rubber insulation products to rise due to its longstanding benefits."

He added:"We have optimistic expectations regarding the future of rubber insulation products in the UAE, across the entire region, and even globally."
