Genie unveils EMEAR service provider programme
The Genie Service Support team is to be supplemented with a network of Authorised Genie Service Providers (AGSP) for the Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Russia region
Genie has announced its intention to introduce a network of Authorised Genie Service Providers (AGSP) for the Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Russia (EMEAR) territories.
The AGSP network will be used to supplement the existing Genie Service Support team that operates across the region.
The access platform manufacturer stated that the move comes following increased demand for its products and services across EMEAR.
Matt Skipworth, EMEAR service solutions manager, at Genie’s parent company, Terex AWP, said: “As part of our brand’s focus on continuous improvement, this organisation is a big step forward for our customers in terms of uptime. Bringing more points of service and more people with the right skills closer to local markets, [the AGSP] network enables us to respond more rapidly and efficiently with a level of service adapted to our customers’ specific needs.”
Following an 18-month accreditation process, the first countries to benefit from the AGSP organisation will be Denmark, Finland, France, Norway, Spain, the UK, and Ireland. All teams have been trained by company specialists in compliance with industry standards.
“Service calls remain centralised in the same way as before,” explained Skipworth. “Our ASP teams are generally sent to service standard machines, which leaves our company specialists available to focus on the most technically demanding models.
“Feedback from the field has been extremely positive. We are confident that we have the right people in place to efficiently support our customers with the high level of in-the-field service they rely on,” he added.
Further agreements, aimed at expanding the AGSP network across the entire EMEAR region, are expected to be sealed in Germany, Benelux, Italy, and Poland by the fourth quarter of 2015.
