Ritchie Bros' 1,900-item Dubai sale starts today
The equipment auctioneer anticipates strong demand at its two-day sale, which starts today in Jebel Ali, Dubai
More than 1,900 items will go under the hammer at Ritchie Bros’ two-day Dubai sale, which starts today (2 June, 2015).
The lots include a broad selection of heavy equipment and trucks, which will be auctioned with no minimum bids or reserve prices.
The equipment auctioneer, which holds four-to-five auctions from its Dubai base annually, predicts high demand amidst “strong construction activity” in the region.
Eduard Faig, regional sales manager at Ritchie Bros Auctioneers, said: “With strong construction activity in several Middle Eastern countries, it’s a great time for construction businesses to either turn equipment into cash for reinvestment, or acquire the machinery they need for upcoming projects. Our Dubai auctions are known for large line-ups of ‘yellow iron’, and our June auction will be no exception.”
Highlights from the Dubai auction are set to include 14 rough-terrain cranes, 12 all-terrain cranes, 48 wheel loaders, 19 vibratory rollers, 18 articulated dump trucks, 78 tipper trucks, 15 concrete pumps, and 332 generator sets.
“We have a great selection of premium brand equipment, including dozers, excavators, wheel loaders, dump trucks, and much more, Faig added. “Particularly interesting is our line-up of rough-terrain and all-terrain cranes, including a 60-ton Terex crane and a 200-ton Grove crane.”
Ritchie Bros’ June auction will take place today and tomorrow at the firm’s premises in Jebel Ali, Dubai.
