Dubai Golf City has expanded its design team in order to supervise the progress of the golf residential community under development as part of Dubailand.

Iain Capon has joined as vice president of design with responsibility for overseeing the real estate areas of the site. Capon was previously director of DSA Architects, the lead architecture firm for the Sanctuary Falls development in Jumeirah Golf Estates.

David Brinkel has been appointed as vice president of golf course development. Brinkel will oversee design work on the five themed courses of Oasis, Wadi, Parkland, Links and Desert. He previously managed courses designed by Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Nick Faldo.

"We have secured the best in the business to guarantee Dubai Golf City's position as a destination alongside Pinehurst in North Carolina, USA and Mission Hills in Shenzhen, China. Iain and David have been tasked with using the location's attributes to the best effect; these include elevated topography and naturally rolling hills," said Rishard Camball, CEO of Dubai Golf City.

Dubai Golf City is a golf residential community project located between the Dubai Polo Club and Dubai Bypass road in Tatweer's Dubailand development.
