Dubai Autism Centre is currently under construction in the city's Al Garhoud area.

The project, worth $19.87m (AED73m), is due for completion in 2015.

Gulf Extrusions will provide aluminium for the project’s façade. Gulf Extrusions, along with other companies such as Emirates Global Aluminium, Jotun, Gutmann and Technical Glass, will supply the necessary materials for work on the new premises.

The long-awaited facility will be bigger than Dubai Autism Centre's current premises, and is expected to accommodate more children with specially designed classrooms and amenities.

The building will also have commercial office spaces for lease.

Modar Al Mekdad, general manager, Gulf Extrusions, remarked about his firm's involvement in the project: “Gulf Extrusions is always ready to lend its support to non-profit organisations, such as Dubai Autism Centre, that are helping the marginalised segments of society.

"We look forward to the completion of Dubai Autism Centre’s new building this year amidst the mounting demand for more facilities that will help special children and their families," he added.
