UAE's Ajman to pay residents $14.1m in damages
Residents will be reimbursed for properties damaged during the construction of Ajman's urban development plan
HH Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member in the UAE, and the Ruler of Ajman, ordered the payment of $14.1m (AED52m) in damages to the residents of the emirate's Al Nakheel area, where properties were affected by the construction of Ajman's urban development plan .
The move is part of Al Nuaimi's "keen interest in providing dignified living and well-being for the residents of Ajman", state agency WAM reported.
HH Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council instructed Ajman's Municipality and Planning Department to prepare a list of the recipients of the indemnity payments, and to carry out the transfers by the Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of the Holy Fasting Month of Ramadan.
