UAE's $653m Tilal City dedicates 45% to education
Tilal City in Sharjah will dedicate 45% of its land to community facilities, featuring 11 schools across 1,855 plots of land
Tilal Properties, a joint venture between Sharjah Asset Management and Eskan Real Estate Development, announced 45% of the land within its flagship development will be dedicated to community facilities.
The project will feature 11 education facilities, including schools and early development centres for children, green spaces, jogging and bicycle tracks and six mosques as well as retail and leisure areas.
The $653.3m (AED2.4bn) scheme is Sharjah's first master-planned community, and will comprise 1,855 plots of land.
The 232ha development is split into five zones (A-E), each with its own look and feel, Arabian Business reported.
The heart of the city will be occupied by an upscale mall, surrounded by a central garden connecting the whole development and providing green public spaces lined with shops, restaurants and cafes.
The development allows investors to build for sale, leasing and personal use.
Non-Arab expats can purchase land plots on a 100-year leasehold basis within the scheme, with freehold land plots available for GCC nationals and UAE's Arab residents.
