Acergy will build pipeline

British engineering and construction contractor, Acergy, has won a US $60 million (NOK378 million) contract from ConocoPhillips to build an oil pipeline between the Ekofisk and Eldfisk platforms in the North Sea off Norway.

British engineering and construction contractor, Acergy, has won a US $60 million (NOK378 million) contract from ConocoPhillips to build an oil pipeline between the Ekofisk and Eldfisk platforms in the North Sea off Norway.

Work involves the installation and tie-in of a 9.4km, 24-inch diameter pipeline.

Acergy Piper will start the installation in November, with tie-in work, to be carried out by Acergy Osprey, scheduled to start in the third quarter of 2007.

Acergy is a seabed-to-surface engineering and construction contractor for the offshore oil and gas industry.
