Tender released for UAE's Al Shindagha Bridge work
The tender for Dubai's Al Shindagha Bridge invites contractors to design and construct "a new 2.7km-long bridge, road infrastructure, and interchange crossings"
A tender for the design and construction of a new bridge crossing Dubai Creek in Al Shindagha has been announced.
The tender for Al Shindagha Bridge invites contractors to design and construct "a new 2.7km-long bridge, as well as road infrastructure, including a series of interchange crossings".
The 40-year old Al Shindagha Tunnel connects Dubai's heavily populated Bur Dubai and Deira localities.
Further details about the bridge project are yet to be released by Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
RTA said earlier this year: “Plans for the demolition or replacement of the tunnel do not exist at the moment.”
Local daily Emirates24x7 reported the bridge will include multiple lanes in each direction to ease traffic problems in the area.
