Construction work has commenced on Abu Dhabi University's (ADU) campus for a 0.9ha (9,202m2) residential facility, worth $9.5m (AED35m). 

The facility will house up to 60 staff and faculty members for the upcoming academic year. 

"The project to build new on-campus residential facilities is part of a comprehensive plan that ADU is implementing to modernise its Abu Dhabi and Al Ain campuses," Ali Saeed bin Harmal Al Dhaheri, chairman of ADU's executive board, said.
