Inaugural smart parking conference set for October

Smart Parking UAE, the inaugural conference dedicated to the design, optimisation and management of parking facilities in the UAE, is set to run on 5 – 6 October, 2015.

Hosted at the Sheraton Gran Hotel Dubai, the event is being managed by Advanced Conferences & Meetings, a B2B events company whose portfolio includes Green Concrete UAE and Retrofit Dubai.

Covering future trends for the parking industry in UAE, the conference will also delve into transport and parking business models from across the globe. Additional topics will include the utilisation of information sources and technologies to optimise parking management, the impact of automation, green practices in parking, as well as addressing the benefits for end-users.

A number of companies have confirmed their participation at the event including Aecom, Parking Matters, Atkins, Majid Al Futaim Properties and Xerox, to name a few.

Participants at the inaugural edition of the conference include Neil Walmsley, director, Middle East Planning, Arup; Nigel Williams, managing director, Parking Matters Limited; and Hesham (Zuhair) Aljabahji, freelance consultant, Technologies & Operations.

Also in attendance will be a number of exhibitors showcasing the latest smart parking technologies, products and services. It will also act as a platform for project owners and managers, as well as key stakeholders, to exchange ideas on the progress of the industry.
