Unimix secures Dubai Central Library concrete deal
The UAE-based readymix firm will supply 30,000 cubic metres of concrete for Dubai’s lectern-shaped library
Unimix has secured a contract to supply concrete for Dubai Central Library.
The project is to be built in the Al Mamzar area of Dubai, UAE. Its design is inspired by an open book on a Turkish lectern.
Dubai-based Unimix has revealed that it has been enlisted to supply 30,000 cubic metres of concrete for the development.
Commenting on the readymix supplier’s recent deals, general manger, Chris Lobel, said: “We’ve just signed the contract for Dubai Central Library at the Business Bay Crossing.
“It’s going to be shaped like a book. The contract has already been awarded, and we have been selected as one of the suppliers. Our contract is just for the substructure, for which we will supply approximately 30,000 cubic metres of concrete,” Lobel told Construction Week.
He added that Unimix is also catering to a number of other high-profile projects in Dubai at present.
“At the moment, we’re supplying concrete for Dubai Water Canal, the Royal Atlantis extension, and Jewel of the Creek by Al Maktoum Bridge,” Lobel concluded.
