Ahead of the start of its autumn term, the University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD) has announced master's programmes to groom students for Dubai Expo 2020.
With opportunities in sectors linked to delivery and legacy plans for Expo 2020, UOWD said that four of its master's programmes will help candidates get ahead in the competitive job openings which are attracting applicants from across the globe.
Recruiters and HR departments are already focusing on the unique skill-sets and qualifications that candidates will need in order to land one of the 275,000 jobs that are being created to service the event.
Over the next five years, Dubai will place increased demand on integrated and highly scalable logistics suppliers who can rapidly adapt themselves to support changing market conditions.
UOWD’s Master of Science in Logistics programme is expected to enable students with the expertise needed to effectively design and manage the supply chain and logistics operations in Dubai.
Second amongst the University’s top picks for Expo 2020 success is UOWD's Master of Quality Management programme.
The programme was introduced in Dubai in 1996 in association with the Dubai Quality Group, state agency WAM reported.
Other degrees introduced by UOWD include its Master of International Business Degree, its Master of Strategic Marketing Degree, and its Master of Strategic Human Resource Management.
