FLIR Systems unveils HD thermal camera

FLIR Systems, a designer and manufacturer of sensor systems, has announced the launch of its FLIR T1020 thermal camera.
Designed for use across a number of industrial and building diagnostics applications, the high definition device also known as FLIR T1K, enables users to identify hot spots quickly within the environment, measure them precisely and react accordingly.
Commenting on the recently launched tech, Andy Teich, President and CEO of FLIR, boasted: “With the T1K, FLIR has once again raised the bar in the premium thermography segment.”
He added: “Making that happen required designing a line of truly superb high definition optics and developing our most precise temperature sensors ever. The FLIR T1K has all the tools experts need to work quickly and efficiently.”
The T1K features sharp image quality, thanks largely to the 1024 x 768-pixel uncooled infrared detector, offering twice the sensitivity than other industry models for uncooled sensors.
The thermal camera’s resolutions is further enhanced by the addition of FLIR Vision Processing, combined with FLIR’s UltraMax super resolution process with FLIR’s patented MSX image enhancement.
The T1K also features FLIR’s OSXTM Precision HDIR optics, an addition which enables the delivery of enhanced image quality and range performance. The optics boast accurate temperature measurements from twice as far away compared to the industry-standard lenses. It comes equipped with an automated focusing system, which can be enabled for manual control.
