Schneider Electric expands automation capabilities
The global energy management firm has partnered with Applied Instrument Technologies, a provider of process analysers for a variety of industries
Global energy management and automation firm Schneider Electric has announced the formation of a strategic alliance with Applied Instrument Technologies (AIT).
As a provider of process analysers for the hydrocarbon, chemical, pharmaceutical and steel-making industries, AIT will aid Schneider Electric in expanding its line of industry-process automation products.
Chris Lyden, senior vice-president, Process Automation Strategy & Offer Management, Industry Business, Schneider Electric, said: “We are always looking out for new ways to address critical challenges around efficiency, quality and safety that our customers face in their businesses. This alliance enables us to team up with a great partner to offer our customers better solutions and to improve their businesses.”
As per the partnerships, Schneider Electric will combine its process automation portfolio, which includes the Foxboro Evo Distributed Control System and Triconex safety instrumented systems, with AIT’s range of spectroscopy and chromatography products.
This development will offer end-users more visibility and control over its operations, while also boasting improved productivity and operational efficiency.
"Together, Schneider Electric and AIT can now provide more technologies and expertise in one integrated solution for online and real-time process analysis, process control and advanced applications, such as blend management, optimization and planning. This will help to improve efficiencies and add significant value for our customers' overall business,” added Lyden.
