Nine engineers and officials of Binladin Group were interrogated on 3 October, 2015, as Saudi Arabia's Bureau of Investigation and Public Prosecution (BIP) started investigations into the recent crane crash at the Grand Mosque in Makkah, according to local reports.

If evidence is found on the involvement of any defendant, a charge sheet will be prepared and he will be referred to the Criminal Court.
