TROX has a reputation for developing innovative terminal air conditioning systems to satisfy the most challenging architectural and building service applications across the globe. Therefore TROX established the TROX ACADEMY for the transfer of knowledge.

It has 10 R&D centres, 10 test and demo laboratories that are continuously in the process of refining, innovating and developing better products. There are also 28 test laboratories equipped with the latest computerised sensing equipment which measures air velocities temperatures humidity and sound levels down to the smallest deviations.

To develop and test new concepts TROX employs over 70 people purely in the R&D area with over 100 design engineers. We also participate and partner up with universities on a regular basis to develop and research new concepts.

Examples of these are: research on the “Accuracy of Draught Measurement” and development in the “Calibration and Requirements for Accuracy of Thermal Anemometers for Indoor Velocity Measurements” with the Department of Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark.

With the Technical University of Berlin we worked on a joint project for LowEx which are energy systems for heating and ventilation technology.

The purpose of TROX ACADEMY is exchanging knowledge and skills from research, system development and experience with the industry, employees and our clients.

TROX ACADEMY in the Middle East fully utilises the whole group’s resources to deliver training on new concepts and existing systems by a series of different forms of communication options.

New concepts that have not necessarily been released to the market yet are included in training sessions which cover first principles, design criteria, application tips, system testing and demonstration.

TROX offers informative technical seminars and technical meetings covering a range of applications depending on the requirement of the client.

They are held for our clients and also for TROX employees every time a new product is launched or released.

Engineering and design students are the consultants and architects of tomorrow and we engage them with our products and designing to give them a more hands on experience.

We are currently in the process of partnering up Emirati universities to be able to pass on our wealth of research and development to the students that will be using them in the field tomorrow.

Our highly qualified professors and PhD’s in their respective fields will conduct lectures and workshops with the universities in collaboration with the university professors to bring practicality and current experience into the courses and programs.

TROX ACADEMY provides its participants with an extensive range of seminars in an effort to continuously encourage the development of professional skills. For the various target groups including architects, specialist consultants, installers and equipment manufacturers, tailored events are offered. Here they get first-hand information on the trends and developments of building services.

The range of seminars offered by the TROX ACADEMY is more than just a training concept: for over six decades, our customers and partners around the world have placed their trust in the integrity, competence and sustainability of cooperation with TROX.
